COPA
Profitability Analysis Values
From a technical perspective, Profitability Analysis in SAP (CO-PA) is a completely isolated process from Cost Center Planning (CCA) or Profit Center Accounting, as different data models and consequently different entry screens for planning data are used here. CO-PA thus knows Characteristics and Value Fields that can be flexibly used and individually extended by customers, while Cost Accounting or Profit Center Accounting relies on a more or less stable framework of Cost Elements (Accounts), Activity Types, and statistical key figures. An integration of both planning processes into a unified process is not provided by SAP.
Kyra Stream offers the possibility to read data generically with the Source Type CO-PA. This means that the months are in the rows, and the Value Fields are in the columns.
Note
Further processing of the data takes place in the Process via additional Actions. It is usually useful to aggregate the data or to transpose the data, i.e., to bring the months from the generic row-wise representation into the columns and the Value Fields from the columns into the rows.
