ALVC
ALV Catcher
The ALV Catcher enables the extraction of many ALV tables (ABAP List Viewer) from transactions. This function is primarily used in a modified form in Allevo for extracting the planned depreciation for fixed assets (Transaction AR18) in a satellite system.
With Kyra Stream, it is now possible to use a multitude of transactions as data sources, to process the data, and to save it in any targets. In a consulting project, this enables the rapid setup of a Process if no corresponding Source Type exists yet for a data source or if the data can only be accessed as an ALV, as in the example of planned depreciation.
For the ALV to be used, a variant must first be saved in the transaction; this is possible in most transactions with the shortcut CTRL+S. Subsequently, in the Source Type, the Transaction Code and the Variant Name can be used as a Report (Type R).
It is also possible to use Drilldown Reports (Type B) or SAP Queries (Type Q) generated with Transaction SQ01.
Upon initial creation, the component must be loaded to determine the ALV structure. If you leave the Source tab without having loaded the component, a corresponding security prompt appears. Without this execution, no F4 help is available for the fields in the transformation.
